Châteauneuf-du-Pape in all but name. When the appellation was first classified in the 1930’s the then proprietor was not interested, hence this is surrounded by an appellation of which it is not part. Made predominatly with Grenache and a little Syrah, full-bodied wine with hedgerow fruit and herbs in generous amounts.
Château Maison Blanche Les Piliers de Maison Blanche from Montagne-Saint-Emilion is a refined blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot and is shows well just a few years of maturity. Aromas of cassis and dark berry fruits lead to a rounded palate with supple blackberry and plum flavours and a delicate spice note. Always delivers excellent value Bordeaux.
