Established in 1814, when declared Le Roi des Fromages, ‘’The King of Cheeses’’. The most famous of all Bries, its chalky texture changes to gorgeous cream after eight weeks ripening. Deliciously buttery and sweet. During the French revolution Louis XVI s last wish was supposedly for a taste of Brie.
