We joined forces with local restaurant La Gaffe recently to host an evening event of Butchery Demonstration and classic Italian cooking.
Our Master Butcher Jason started off the night by expertly demonstrating his butchery skill by preparing the classic bone-in rib of beef cut, Cote de Boeuf.
Freshly sourced from London’s renowned Smithfield Market and aged at our shop for 21-days for a tenderised and flavoursome cut of beef, the customers at La Gaffe were in for a treat.
With the Butchery Demonstration complete, the Chefs of La Gaffe took the Cote de Boeuf off for cooking, whilst the first courses of Soup of the Day and Insalata Tricolore were served.
Costolette di Manzo is the classic Italian dish of Cote de Boeuf, served for main course, where the rib of beef is grilled and served on the bone with a choice of green peppercorn or mushroom and cream sauce and vegetables of the day.
To finish, classic Italian Tiramisu or Pannacotta were the perfect treat.
It’s the second Butchery Demonstration and Italian Evening we’re held together at La Gaffe and we’re sure there will be more!
